Today, we arrived at Korla City, which is considered the top city in southern Xinjiang. Korla is located in the heart of Eurasia, on the northeastern edge of the Tarim Basin. To the north, it is flanked by the Kuruk and Huola Mountains, branches of the Tianshan Mountains, while to the south lies the Taklamakan Desert, the world’s second-largest desert.

Xinjiang Taklimakan Desert

After breakfast, we will visit Bosten Lake, China’s largest inland freshwater lake. It was called the “West Sea” in ancient times. In the afternoon, we will head to Lop Nor Village, situated in the desert and one of the largest villages in western China. The village is spread across the Taklimakan Desert, we recommend trying camel riding and experiencing the thrill of desert off-road Vehicles. At night, you can stay at the desert camp, offering the opportunity to witness the desert sunset and starry sky and star tracks.

Lop Nur Scenic Area

We will drive to the Tarim Populus Euphratica Forest Park to see the largest populus forest in Xinjiang, which turns golden in the fall. Afterward, we’ll head to Kuqa for dinner and check into the hotel. Kuqa Old Town has ancient streets lined with thousand-year-old wooden structures that showcase rich local customs. The vibrant doors and windows, along with the ancient city walls, offer a glimpse into a city where Western civilization once thrived. Even today, wandering through the old town allows you to discover historical clues in the form of scattered bricks and tiles.

The Populus Euphratica Park

After breakfast, we will visit Kuqa City. Kuqa Palace was built by Han craftsmen dispatched by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty in 1759 to commend the local Uyghur leader. In the afternoon, we will drive to the Tianshan Grand Canyon. The average altitude of the canyon area is 1,600 meters, and the highest peak is 2,048 meters. The strange peaks and mountains that make up the canyon are composed of ochre muddy sandstone, it is called “Kiziliya” in the local Uyghur language, meaning red cliffs. Then in the afternoon, we will drive to Aksu, another important city in southern Xinjiang.

Tianshan Grand Canyon

After breakfast, gather at Kashgar Old Town’s main gate for the 10-minute Opening Ceremony, then enjoy free time to explore, shop for souvenirs, try lamb buns, or dress in ethnic clothing. In the afternoon, head west for a Uyghur wedding cultural show, then visit Id Kah Mosque—China’s largest—and the old city ruins exhibition. As evening falls, soak up the town’s transformed atmosphere with tea at the Century Old Teahouse, a historic spot featured in “The Kite Runner.”

After breakfast we will come to Kashgar Old Town main gate to watch “The Opening Ceremony” (about 10 min) then we are free to explore any corner of the town, buying souvenirs, tasting lamb buns or trying enthnic clothes…In the afternoon we will move to west part of the town to watch a Uygur wedding cultural show after lunch , we will visit Biggest Mosque in China—The Id Kah Mosque and Kashgar old city ruins exhibition area.At night old city has another side of charm , we sugeest you to see and our driver will pick you up after dinner.

Kashgar Old Town

After breakfast, travel to Toxkorgan, situated at the convergence of 3 countries. On the way we will be able to see Karakul and Whitesand Lake. Arrive at Karakul Lake in the afternoon at the foot of the Mustagh Ata Mountain, which means the father of glaciers. Local yak hot pot is recommended for dinner.

Pamir Plateau

Set out to explore The Ancient Stone City centered on the Silk Road which served as an important stop linked West to East from 1300 years ago. It served as a key outpost for various empires, including the Kushan Empire, Tang Dynasty, and Tibetan Empire. Later, drive to Bandir Blue Lake via Palong Ancient Path, with a total length of 75 kilometers, there are many bends of 180 degrees or even 270 degrees. We will arrive in the afternoon.

Stone City Ruins

The magnificent Danxia landform is common in Xinjiang, but this red mountain is even more bizarre as if entering an alien world.
